Bonding

At the Danna Smile we offer dental bonding procedures that can reshape or restore your smile. We use a composite resin to correct chipped or uneven teeth in a way that is less costly and less invasive than other procedures (like veneers or orthodontics).

This is a simple cosmetic dental procedure that can be completed in a single visit and doesn’t normally require anesthetic.

A Closer Look at the Dental Bonding Procedure

The procedure for dental bonding is relatively simple. The tooth in question will be isolated and slightly etched with a conditioning liquid. This will prepare the surface of the tooth for the resin. The small crevices created by this process will make the adhesion to the tooth even stronger.

We will then cement the composite in place and cure it with a special light. Once it has set, it will be nice and smooth, and we will buff and polish it until it looks just like all your surrounding teeth.

Is It for You?

There are several situations in which dental bonding can be a best option. We most often use bonding procedures for:

  • Fixing chipped teeth
  • Lengthening uneven teeth
  • Reducing or closing gaps between teeth
  • Protecting roots that have been exposed by receding gums
  • Improving the color of your teeth
  • Fixing the shape of uneven teeth

Just like many other cosmetic procedures, it is possible for bonding to discolor or wear over time. However, the composite resin is extremely durable and will last for years. We’ll keep an eye on it during your regular visits and let you know if there are any concerns.

This is a simple and effective way to rebuild or restore some of the flaws in your teeth. Contact us today to learn more about this procedure and whether it’s right for you.
