Digital Imaging

Modern digital imaging technologies gives us the ability to see your teeth in a whole new way. We can quickly and easily spot potential problems with minimally invasive tools and then provide the most effective treatments. Intra-oral cameras and digital x-rays have given us safe and efficient methods to properly diagnose your dental situation.

Digital X-Rays

Digital radiography (digital x-rays) is an important technology that uses an electronic sensor instead of x-ray film to capture and store the images of your teeth. We can instantly see this image and enlarge it as necessary to detect any problems.

We use these images to reveal things like:

  • Cavities
  • Bone loss
  • Developmental abnormalities
  • Misaligned roots or poor teeth positions
  • Problems below the gum line
  • Abscesses or cysts

Safe and Effective

Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation exposure by 80 or 90%. That means that we can produce these images in an environment that is safer for the patient. We can quickly take detailed images of your teeth, which reduces your time in the office. We don’t need to develop the x-rays since the images are captured electronically. They’re simply immediately available for inspection.

Intra-Oral Images

Intra-oral cameras are another way to get a different angle on your teeth. They allow a lot more interactivity with our patients, showing on screen exactly what we’re looking at. This helps us convey any concerns and even acts as an educational tool.

This camera is about the size of a pen, and lets us see your teeth from angles that were previously hard to see.

Diagnosis and Detection

Detecting and treating dental problems at an early stage can save you time, money, and unnecessary discomfort. More than that, it can save your teeth. At The Danna Smile we can use the latest technologies to ensure the most effective diagnoses so we can create your treatment plan.
