Soda, Crack and Meth All Damage Tooth Enamel

If you love your teeth you should think twice about consuming too much soda, whether its diet or regular. New scientific research shows drinking soda in excess (2 liters per day over 3 to 5 years) does as much damage to the tooth enamel as does using meth and crack cocaine. According to a recent article posted in Science Daily, it references a study that compared actual drug users to those who drank two liters per day of soda. The damage was just about the same for soda drinkers as it was for serious drug users. Why? It’s all about the acid. If you don’t want to give up your soda, drink it in moderation and swish your mouth with water afterwards. And don’t forget to brush and floss regularly. Food for thought!
